PHARMACOLOGY (HOW DRUGS)
Nebacetin is a medicine that contains a combination of two antibiotics, namely neomycin and bacitracin. Research shows the bacterial cell wall is destroyed in two ways, the antibiotic bacitracin inhibits bacterial cell wall formation and neomycin destroy the genetic code and protein synthesis of bacteria. Thus Nebacetin work synergistically.
Nebacetin not absorbed by the skin or mucous membranes, so the topical administration can be administered in large doses. Giving Nebacetin on an ulcer could prevent the growth of resistant bacteria.
Nebacetin working mechanism can not be inhibited by plasma of blood, pus / pus, and dead tissue (necrosis).
INDICATIONS / USE
Nebacetin indications are:Nebacetin skin ointment and powder: treatment of superficial bacterial skin infection such as impetigo, varicose ulcers, pressure sores, trophic ulcers and burns.Nebacetin eye ointment: acute and chronic conjunctivitis, acute and chronic keratitis, keratoconjunctivitis, dacryocystitis, corneal ulcers, peripheral corneal infiltrates, prevention and treatment of infection before and after eye surgery.
CONTRAINDICATION
Nebacetin not be given to:Patients who are hypersensitive / allergic to Nebacetin or neomycin or bacitracin. Possible cross-sensitivity to other antibiotics such as framisetin, kanamycin, gentamicin or other antibiotics.Patients with hearing loss (deafness light - heavy), where the possibility of systemic absorption can occur.
DOSAGE AND RULES FOR USE

Nebacetin skin ointments and powders:Adult. Before use, the area to be treated is cleaned. Debris such as pus or crusts should be cleaned.
